Photographs are an easy way to communicate visually. Capturing the perfect angle and mood of your subject, whether it's a person, place or thing, boosts the impact of your message. Propping enhances the subject to be the center focus, the star of your photo. I've carefully stylized each of these subjects so that they are easily identified at a glance and their purpose is quickly understood.
Food photography is tricky. The item must look perfectly in tact and appetizing at the same time. Position of the item is as important as lighting, focus, detail and props that make sense. And with props, less is more.
I stylized this photo shoot for a pork distributor to be used on their Web site, in sales sheets and advertising. Meat needs to look appetizing.. moist, the proper color, tasty and inviting. Simple propping and angles can give it that mouth-wattering appeal.

These seafood photos are used in a technical manual identifying the different kinds of seafood and fish and their many species or varieties. For example, the shrimp could be purchased fresh with an easy-to-peal shell, fresh and shelled tail on, cooked, and so on.

Sometimes, images need a little help regardless of how much tender loving care is given during photography. Through the miracles of PhotoShop, flaws and shortcomings can be treated and cured for sheer visual perfection. Here's some of the before-and-afters that I've transformed.
